What tasks do the removal and transportation helpers at Helferei perform?

 Our carrying aids support you with the following tasks:

  • Removals or furniture transportation
  • Carrying heavy objects up and down
  • Transportation of large and bulky objects (washing machines, sofas, etc.)
  • Loading & unloading vans
  • Disposal of various items, e.g. at Berliner Stadtreinigung (BSR)
  • Small transports within the city
How much does a stretcher cost via Helferei?

In each service category, the price depends on the respective service and also varies per city. You can find a complete price list for Berlin and Munich on our homepage. The prices for corporate customers can be found on our page for companies.

However, your estimated final price is displayed transparently in the online booking process. It increases or decreases with the number of hours you select. Look in the top right-hand corner of your browser. In any case, you only pay after the order has been completed and according to the actual duration of the order.

In addition, there is a one-off booking and matching fee of €3.90 (incl. VAT). This fee is charged once after the first order for one-off and regular bookings.

However, transportation is excluded in the online booking process and in our price lists. excluded.

Is transportation included in the price?

Transportation costs always depend on the duration, the route, and other factors along the way. For this reason, we can never predict them exactly. They are not included in the price shown on the platform and are always charged separately. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us by email at support@die-helferei.de

One thing is certain, however: You’ll also receive an invoice for the shipping, which in many cases allows you to claim up to 20 percent of the costs as a tax deduction. This reduces your tax liability at the end of the year.

What do I do if I don't know in advance exactly how long my order will take?

That's no problem at all - the invoice is always based on the actual duration of the order. So you don't have to worry about paying for something you haven't received.

However, your cooperation is very important for this:

  • After completing an assignment, both you and your helpers have 24 hours to adjust the booking duration on our platform to the actual duration of the assignment.
  • To do this, click on the relevant booking details in your profile and then on the pencil icon "Change booking".
  • This gives you the opportunity to adjust the time or duration of an order.

The invoice is only generated automatically after 24 hours, thereby triggering payment.

How does the booking work if I need assistance with carrying, moving or transportation?

The easiest way to book is online via the website. There you indicate how long your job is likely to take and how many helpers are required. You can also support the helpers by providing information in the notes field about exactly which furniture or items they should carry and from where to where the transport should take place.

Is the work in the area of stretcher assistance, removal or transportation insured by Helferei ?

We personally select all our helpers. Before we activate their profiles on our platform, we check their identity, verify their talents and their business registration or tax number. Where necessary, we provide support with the registration process.

As registered self-employed persons, we then place our helpers in your neighborhood.

This means that they do not work for us and that all service contracts are concluded directly between you as a customer and our helping hands. Helferei acts purely as an intermediary. This means that our helping hands are themselves responsible for complying with the relevant safety and insurance precautions for assignments. For particularly complex jobs or very valuable items, we recommend checking with the respective helping hand whether the relevant insurance cover is in place.

Will my health insurance pay if I book assistance with carrying via the Helferei for health reasons?

We have already worked with health insurance companies on an individual basis for customers. However, Helferei does not yet have a comprehensive reimbursement agreement with a statutory health insurance provider.

Just ask us if we can support your individual case via your health insurance!

What does the Helferei do for the trust of customers in the helpers and the processes for orders?

As a matter of principle, we select all our helpers personally.

On the one hand, we look at the individual person: Before we activate a profile on our platform, we not only check the identity of the volunteer, but also their talents and experience. This allows us to match our helpers with our customers at any time with a clear conscience. For example, if someone does not upload their own proof of identity, this person will not appear in our pool of service providers and therefore cannot be booked.

Secondly, we check the administrative side: We ensure that we record all important data on the tax situation (e.g. craft license) and insurance status. If important information is missing, we will either help you to obtain it. If this is not possible and cooperation by legal means is therefore not possible, we refrain from working with the person in question.

Implementation, payment and invoice

Our assistants will complete your order according to your wishes. Your invoice will be generated 24 hours after completion of the order based on the actual duration of the order. This will trigger the payment.

  • Last-minute moving or carrying assistance: We can provide help even on short notice—sometimes even for same-day booking requests. However, we cannot guarantee this. A little advance notice helps everyone and improves the quality of our service.
